Dealing with low water pressure in your shower can become very much a nuisance, particularly if you are not used to it. This is especially the case if the water pressure becomes so low, that the flow of water comes down to a trickle. Low water pressure is normally caused by two different appliances being used at the same time, such as the washing machine and the shower. Your shower might be working fine one minute, however you notice a massive change in the pressure when another appliance in the house starts getting used.

In most cases, you will notice that the low water pressure occurs in other areas around the house. However, if you notice that the problem is only occurring in the use of your shower, than it will be advisable to get the shower checked for any obstructions that may be causing the low water pressure. continue reading…

When it comes to commercial kitchen appliances, General Electric (GE) is no stranger to manufacturing top of the line products and accessories. They have made a variety of machines for use in a kitchen household, from refrigerators and freezers to dishwashers and venting systems. GE commercial kitchen appliances are good quality and fairly priced. These products are widely available on the consumer market too, so you most likely have one of these brand name machines in your kitchen right now.

Maybe your needs haven’t been satisfied by these ordinary looking machines though. Even with your spiffy new dishwasher or convection oven, it might feel as if you’re missing something. Perhaps that element you’re lacking is just a simple visual appeal, and one way this can be improved upon is with the type of appliances you purchase.

Not only that, but as these are top of the line machines, the appliances will work quicker and more efficiently than a conventional model. The microwave oven, for example, uses high intense halogen lights that heats food faster than a normal oven. continue reading…

So what are the reasons for it?

There could be various factors involved in experiencing low water pressure. The most common factors usually involve damaged or leaking pipes. Sometimes the pipes can have aged so much that they corrode. It is best to first identify what the main cause of the low water pressure is, before you commence the repair proceedings. continue reading…

What poor state would all our curtains be in without their very own life support machine? How do curtains carry out not only their duty of keeping our private lives private but also to look beautiful as they hang obediently and gracefully, completing and drawing together the rest of a room?

What is this “life support machine” I speak of? Referred to in the title of this article, curtain tracks and curtain poles are the lifeblood for any curtain we wish to hang or display in our windows. You can have the curtain track without the curtain (albeit a very bare and bland experience) but try putting your curtains up without tracks and poles. A challenge that’s for sure! continue reading…

The government has been keen on implementing measures to get people to start taking steps in cutting down carbon emissions and reducing fuel bills. Encouraging people to invest in installing Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) has definitely been a step in the right direction, as heating controls can play a key part in achieving these objectives.

The government has particularly come under pressure to take initiative in reducing energy costs whilst cutting carbon dioxide emissions. Organizations such as Energy Saving have been set up to offer advice on how to improve energy efficiency, cut costs, and ensure best value.

What is a Thermostatic Radiator Valve (TRV)

TRVs sense the air temperature around them. They work by regulating the flow of water through the radiator which they are fitted to. However, it is important to remember that they do not control the boiler. TRVs are beneficial in providing much more focused control within a room. Therefore, you can set each TRV to a temperature best suited to each room. This is greatly beneficial in saving energy, as it offers the user the flexibility to have varying temperatures in separate parts of the home, rather than wasting energy heating a room that may not be occupied. continue reading…

One of the many privileges of living in the UK involves the fact that people are living much longer than ever before. This brings about with it the need to develop and adapt our range of products to fulfil the elderly needs.

Unfortunately many elderly people are not actually aware of the fact that they can change their bathroom to better suit their comfort. Most commonly, it is not until they suffer an accident at home or fall until they realise that they are actually struggling at home. Furthermore it does not help that there is a lack of style in many of the adapted bathrooms, which does not exactly push the elderly to make the necessary changes until they are forced to.

Getting rid of hazards in the bathroom continue reading…
